University of Minho
The University of Minho was founded in 1973, being one of the most prestigious Portuguese higher education institutions. The UMinho comprises three campi, one in Braga (Gualtar) and two in Guimarães (Azurém and Couros).

- in 2010, UMinho was also the first university in the country to publish its sustainability indicators, and has a sustainability policy defined in the UMinho 2020 Strategic Plan.
