Porto Wine Tasting
Porto wine is undoubtedly one of Portugal's most renowned products worldwide and one of the most emblematic symbols of the Douro region, in the northern of Portugal. The Alto Douro Wine Region, an incredible and unique landscape, was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Porto wine is a sweet fortified wine, produced exclusively in the demarcated Douro region for centuries. It is considered an important historical and cultural legacy and its production is still of great socio-economic importance. There are several styles of Port wine, but two of the most well-known are Tawny and Ruby. Vintage Port is also very famous for its high quality being a Ruby Port. Tawny Port is known for its amber color and smooth, nutty flavor, developed through extended aging in wooden barrels. Ruby Port, with its intense ruby red color, offers a fruit-forward and vibrant taste. Vintage Port is produced only in exceptional years, showcasing complex flavors and great aging potential. These three types represent the renowned diversity and excellence of Porto wine.
In this event, you will have the opportunity to taste and compare different Porto wines, to experience a delightful taste of Portuguese culture in the green open-spaces of the congress venue.
